How We Shortcut the Chinese New Year Factory Break to Move Projects Forward

Mar 4, 2024 | 0 comments

Brands, Chinese factories are (kind of) open again following the New Year break.

At least, many of the sales office staff are trickling back in to work.

We expect production workers to be back and ready to start manufacturing orders by the end of February or early March.

What Factories Are Able to Do Now

This means now we can all start to:

➤ Ask how their vacation went 🙂

➤ Research new products and get quotes

➤ Schedule product sampling

➤ Troubleshoot issues or updates

➤ Plan production schedules

➤ Plan shipping schedules

Here’s a Tip

If you placed a production order before the Chinese New Year set for completion in the coming weeks, it’s often a good idea to check in and reconfirm details.

Good factories should have clear notes.

But over the holidays staff changes can happen.

The foreman overseeing your project may have changed, for example.

So it never hurts to pop in and ask questions.

I Can’t Wait for Factories to Reopen!

I, for one, look forward to the full resumption of manufacturing activities.

With our usual pace at China Product Pros being “full steam ahead” it feels unusual to be forced into a temporary slow down.

Happy manufacturing everyone!

May the Year of the Dragon bring a prosperous year for your business.
