China has now expanded its 144 hour visa-free entry to include 37 entry points across the country. 

Citizens from 54 countries, including the US, Canada, and the UK, can stay visa-free for up to 6 days visa-free for tourism, business, or visiting relatives. Just ensure you have valid travel documents and a connecting ticket to a third country within 144 hours.

Note: a few select regions are limited to 72 hours.
